Michael Scholze, founder of Mikki Communication

About

An agency born on both sides of the table.

Mikki Communication was founded by Michael Scholze, journalist, spokesperson and then corporate and financial communication consultant, to help companies get heard on the other side of the border.

Our story

It all started in Belgian newsrooms. A graduate of the University of Liège, our founder spent ten years finding stories, angles and people to interview: TV reports for RTBF's news bulletin, BX1's evening news in Brussels, radio at NRJ and Nostalgie, sport on Vedia. He also sat on the board of the Belgian Association of Professional Journalists (AJP).

In 2020, he moved to the other side of the microphone. As spokesperson for the Walloon Road Safety Agency, a semi-public body, he represented it in national and regional media, designed awareness campaigns and coordinated a programme broadcast on RTBF.

Then came France. Sports editor-in-chief of a weekly newspaper in Saint-Martin, then three years in Paris as a senior press officer and consultant at a financial and corporate communication agency, supporting executives of Euronext-listed companies with their public communication, IPOs, strategic transactions and sensitive situations.

From this journey came one conviction: you don't communicate the same way in Brussels and in Paris. Media, codes, networks and expectations differ. Today, we put this dual Belgian and French culture to work for companies crossing the border.

Ten years of journalism, then communication.

From Belgian newsrooms to Paris-listed companies.
